Group 1
During fieldwork, group 1 presented the class with the topic regarding supply and demand. The topic dealt with human resources, capital resources, scarcity, economics, supply, demand, scarce, and natural resources. The group did an excellent job describing what each vocabulary word meant and how the students could relate it to their everyday lives. The group used a tractor, water fall, and a doctor as some examples. These are things kids see all the time and can easily relate to. This group was also responsible for introducing the definition of economics to the class. Economics is the study of the way economies work. For example, the way in which people make money and produce and distribute goods and services. Next they covered that supply is how much of something that is available, demand is how much of something people want, and their relationship. The group also included several exciting activities to do throughout their lessons. Some of these activities included a drag and drop, a rap, a skit, and a matching. The students seemed to do really well with this concept and group 1 set a great example for the rest of the teachers to follow!
